This is the 75th day of the year.

Fact of the Day: Gumby

The Gumby Show premiered in 1957, a spinoff of Howdy Doody, where Gumby was introduced in 1956. Gumby and his horse, Pokey, were clay figures whose adventures were filmed using the process of claymation. The show was created by Art Clokey and hosted by Bobby Nicholson and, later, Pinky Lee. Besides Pokey (voiced by creator Clokey) and his dog Nopey, Gumby's pals included Prickle (a yellow dinosaur), and Goo (a blue thumb-type mermaid blob who could fly). Females voiced Gumby at first, then Dallas McKinnon became the voice.
